Chiddingfold Village Hall is an attractive, large, multi-function venue in one of Surrey’s most beautiful villages. The Village Hall offers the hire of the large main hall with a new fully-equipped semi-commercial stainless steel kitchen or the Charles Watts Room, a smaller self-contained function venue.
Chiddingfold in Surrey is one of the largest and most beautiful Wealden villages; it has an attractive green, a forge, a pond near a 14th Century inn and church. Set in the Surrey Hills area of outstanding natural beauty, Chiddingfold is close to the Surrey/Sussex border.
The Village Hall is a modern brick building which has undergone recent improvements, and has a high roof and bright lights suitable for sports, as well as meetings and exhibitions. As a warm and welcoming venue with excellent acoustics, AV equipment, the Hall is also ideal for performances, presentations and events such as wedding receptions and parties.

MAIN HALL: The dimensions are 33ft. (10m) x 64ft. (19.4m) x 25ft. (7.8m) ceiling height. The high ceiling of the hall accommodates indoor sporting activities and there is ample space for a bouncy castle. The beech floor is suitable for dancing activities as well as exercise classes.
Capacity: The hall which is centrally heated, accommodates up to 270 people standing, 200 seated theatre style and up to 150 seated at tables.
Raised stage: There is a raised stage with curtains 33ft. (10m) x 15ft. (4.6m).
CHARLES WATTS ROOM: 23ft (7m) x 23ft (7m). Ideal for meetings, small parties and exercise classes.
Seating: The room seats 30 people at tables or 50 seated in a theatre-style. It has its own furniture store with rectangular large and small tables with a set of chairs.
Fully refurbished in 2021 we have a fitted semi-commercial powder coated stainless steel kitchen that comes with a full range of commercial appliances, crockery, glassware and cutlery. Please note that none of the equipment is available for off-site hire.
Crockery and cutlery: White china, cutlery and glassware catering for 150 people.
Appliances: There is a six-burner commercial gas cooker & extractor, commercial dishwasher, stainless steel fridge/freezer, an electric heated trolley/plate warmer and a microwave. There is also a Lincat wall mounted hot water dispenser.
A medium double-doored chiller cabinet is situated in the hall, which comes with the hire – if required.
In 2022 Air Sourced Heat Pumps (ASHPs) and central heating radiators were installed throughout the building. The system is preset to a comfortable 18 degrees and can be adjusted by hirers to meet their needs. We can also program the system remotely so that the venue is at the temperature you require for your hire.
