Our successful car service has been caring for and providing help to elderly, disabled and vulnerable members of our Camberley and Frimley community for more than 45 years.  Our team of volunteers offers essential and safe transport for older people and those who need support. Our handyperson service provides a reliable, safe and low-cost solution for the multitude of smaller handyman jobs around the home that typically take two hours or less to complete. Volunteering has so many rewards for you and others, so why not join our wonderful team?  You can tailor your volunteering to your lifestyle and make yourself available as often as you feel you can – whenever it suits you.

Our purpose is to provide assistance such as transport to and from the doctor’s surgery or hospital, and other help with shopping or trips to the supermarket, to anyone of any age living in Bagshot. It matches people who have a need with volunteers who can help them – whether on a one off or recurring basis. If you are a Bagshot resident, Bagshot Care can give a helping hand to:

• Provide transport to hospital, doctors, dentists, hairdressers etc;
• Accompany shopping;
• Collect prescriptions;
• Visit for a chat, to read or write letters;
• Carry out simple DIY, house or garden maintenance.

Bagshot Care always needs more volunteers to continue its valuable service for Bagshot residents.

Stanwell SIGNS is a volunteer-run, community service, which provides transport for people living in the Stanwell area with a disability, or who are in financial or emergency need. They need people to join them as volunteer drivers and duty officers.

Spelthorne Volunteer Drivers provides assistance to residents of Spelthorne, who would otherwise have difficulty getting to medical appointments. Volunteer drivers are available to take residents to medical appointments inside and outside the borough, but cannot assist with transport for non-medical appointments. Contact them about volunteering opportunities.  

Care in Shepperton is a group of local volunteers which offers ‘Good Neighbour’ help to those who may need assistance. We provide support to the ill, elderly and housebound living in the postal area of TW17, i.e. Shepperton, Littleton, Upper Halliford and Charlton Village (in the borough of Spelthorne). Our tasks consist mainly of hospital and health centre journeys but prescriptions are collected and a certain amount of shopping is done. Our volunteers are men and women of all ages and abilities who give people the kind of help which would normally be given by a friend or relative.

We are a group of caring volunteers ready to help those who are vulnerable or in need of support in the TW15 postcode area. If you need some shopping or your prescription collected, or transport to get to a medical appointment, our volunteers can help you out. Or we can just pop round for a chat if you’re elderly, disabled or housebound. We can help with odd jobs around the house and garden, and lend a hand if you’re having trouble filling in forms or writing letters. In fact we’ll consider any reasonable request for help, so just call us if you’re in need. We’re also looking for volunteers. Whether you have a lot or just a little time to give, you’ll be very welcome. You don’t have to commit to any regular jobs and you can choose what days of the week you want to volunteer.

The Good Neighbours scheme for New Haw and Woodham provides practical help to those in need 7 days a week. Our aim is to link those with a little time to spare with those in the community who need and ask for help. The scheme is available to help anyone young or old living in postcode area: KT15 What is available: transport to the doctors, hospital, banks, post office, shops, hairdressers etc. Also filling in forms, home visits, shopping, collecting prescriptions, changing library books, dog walking and odd jobs.

We offer support to the local community by:

– driving our clients to medical appointments – taking them shopping or to visit friends – dropping in for a chat or taking them out for a coffee

Don’t be afraid to ask. We’d love to help you if we can. If we can’t, we can point you in the right direction to get more specialist support. The support we offer the local community relies entirely on our volunteers. We always need drivers and duty officers to receive calls and organise our volunteer rotas.

We offer support to elderly and disabled members of our community by running essential errands for food, medication, hospital trips, and more. If you need support with your food shop, getting your prescription, or attending a hospital appointment, we are here to help you. Where we work We are based in Egham but cover Englefield Green, Thorpe, and Virginia Water. We are also registered with Voluntary Support North Surrey and Surrey Community Action. What we do We have a network of locally based volunteer drivers who support elderly and disabled people with running basic errands.

Merstham Neighbours is a local community-based group, offering friendly, practical help to local residents, who need some assistance due to health or age-related issues. If you live in the “RH1 3” postcode area of Merstham, we may be able to help you with transport to medical appointments, hairdressers, dentist, opticians, shopping or small DIY tasks around the home. We always need volunteers to help as duty officers and volunteer drivers.
