Guildford Borough Council, Mole Valley District Council, Waverley Borough Council and the Rural Housing Enablers at Surrey Community Action have worked together to publish a new Surrey Rural Housing Statement. The statement sets out a shared commitment to supporting rural communities across Surrey by improving access to affordable homes, strengthening partnerships, and helping villages remain vibrant and sustainable.
The document highlights the key challenges facing rural areas — including high house prices, limited supply of affordable homes, and increasing pressure on local services — and outlines how councils and partners will continue to work collaboratively to meet local housing needs.
